Karnal:- In connection with the 650th sacred birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Maharaj, the holy Kalash Vandan Yatra which started from Shri Guru Ravidas Janmasthal, Seer Govardhanpur situated in Kashi, reached Karnal on Wednesday. In the program organized at Shri Krishna Temple, Mayor Renu Bala Gupta along with a large number of devotees welcomed the Yatra and offered floral tributes at the feet of Sant Ravidas Maharaj.
On this occasion, Mayor Renu Bala Gupta said that the life of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Maharaj is a source of inspiration for humanity, equality, social harmony and selfless service. His pure, unblemished, sacred voice "Prabhu Ji Tum Chandan Hum Pani, Jaaki Ang-Ang Baas Samani" gives the message of love, devotion and harmony to the society.
Mayor Renu Bala Gupta said that Sant Ravidas proved through his thoughts and deeds that a person's identity is not by caste or birth, but by his deeds, character and spirit of service. His teachings still inspire the society to move forward unitedly. She said that the Kalash Vandan Yatra is giving a strong message of social unity, national spirit and building a harmonious society.
In the program, Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand said that Sant Ravidas Ji Maharaj showed the path of equality and brotherhood to the society. Positive change in society can be brought only by adopting his ideals.
Assandh MLA Yogendra Rana said that the teachings of Sant Ravidas Ji are inspiring for every section. His ideology gives the message of moving on the path of service, harmony and mutual cooperation. BJP District President Praveen Lather said that the life of Sant Ravidas Ji Maharaj is a symbol of sacrifice, penance and human welfare. It is the responsibility of all to take his messages to every person.
During this, the devotees welcomed the Kalash Vandan Yatra with chants of Sant Ravidas Maharaj. Party office bearers, representatives of social organizations, public representatives and a large number of devotees were present in the program.
