Rotary Club Ambala Central Distributes Sweaters to Needy Children in Government School and Insures 25 Girl Students
Ambala, December 18: Setting an example of humanity and service, Rotary Club Ambala Central distributed sweaters to needy children studying in the government school located in the Ambala Central Jail complex and also insured 25 girl students. Under this insurance scheme, if any unfortunate incident befalls a student's parents, her education will not be affected.
Ambala District Education Officer Sudhir Kalra was present as the chief guest at the program. He himself distributed sweaters to the children and praised Rotary Club Ambala Central, saying that the club has been doing commendable work for a long time for girls' education and the upliftment of government schools.
The District Education Officer informed that Rotary Club Ambala Central has adopted this school and has not only constructed pink toilets but has also improved the school's repair and basic facilities.
Rajesh Batra, President of Rotary Club Ambala Central, said that the club has resolved to provide free insurance policies to girl students studying in government schools in the district. A written proposal has also been submitted to the District Education Officer to implement this initiative throughout the district.
