New Delhi:- The central government is preparing to bring a new law in place of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. It is being told that the government has distributed the bill to the Lok Sabha MPs to abolish MGNREGA and bring a new law for rural employment.
According to the information, the name of this bill will be Developed India Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Gramin) 2025. It will be commonly known as VB-G RAM G (Developed India Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission Gramin). It is believed that the aim of this bill is to establish a rural development framework.

Guarantee of 125 days of employment
It is being said that the new bill will provide a constitutional guarantee of 125 days of wage employment to every rural family in every financial year.
It is likely to be discussed in the Lok Sabha soon. After the enactment of this new bill, employment will be guaranteed to those families in which adult members prepare themselves to do unskilled manual work.
The bill also proposes that payment should be made within a week or 15 days of completion of the work. If payment is not made within the stipulated time limit, there is also a provision to provide unemployment allowance.
It is worth noting that before the bill is presented on the floor of the House, the BJP has issued a whip to its MPs. The BJP has directed all its MPs to be present in the Lok Sabha from December 15 to 19.
