First Phase of Polling in 18 Panchayats of Una Development Block Tomorrow 116 Polling Parties Depart for Their Destinations

Una, May 25: In view of the upcoming elections in the Una Development Block, all preparations have been completed. Today (Tuesday), 116 polling parties, equipped with election materials, departed for their respective destinations. This information was provided by Una Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Abhishek Mittal. He stated that the first phase of polling for the general elections of the Panchayati Raj Institutions—covering 18 Panchayats within the Una Development Block—will take place on Tuesday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Following the voting process, the votes will be counted at designated counting centers within the respective Panchayats.
He further informed that the 116 polling parties operating under the Una Sub-Division comprise a total of 464 officers and staff members. Additionally, 8 Sector Officers along with 130 personnel from the Police and Home Guards will be responsible for managing the security arrangements at the respective polling and counting centers. Furthermore, 23 buses belonging to the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) have been deployed to facilitate the electoral process within the Una Sub-Division.
It is noteworthy that the first phase of elections in the Una Sub-Division will cover 18 Panchayats. These include Dehlan Upper, Bangarh, Takka, Sanoli, Jakhera, Nangra, Dangoli, Basal Upper, Basal Lower, Thakurdwara, Barnoh, Dangehra, Fatehpur, Awada Varana, Sunehra, Badsala, Jankaur, and Lamlehra.
