Hansi: Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal has directed officials of the Revenue Department to ensure the swift disposal—on a priority basis—of all pending applications related to land demarcation, so that the general public may receive timely relief. He emphasized that no form of negligence or unnecessary delay in revenue-related tasks will be tolerated.
Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal stated that the demarcation process is of paramount importance in cases involving land disputes and boundary-related issues. The pendency of such cases causes inconvenience to ordinary citizens and also carries the risk of escalating disputes. Therefore, all Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, and concerned revenue officials must review pending cases and resolve them within the stipulated timeframe.
He instructed officials to maintain complete transparency during the demarcation process and to proceed strictly in accordance with the rules, ensuring that all concerned parties are duly informed in a timely manner. He further directed every official to compile a list of pending cases at their respective levels, monitor them regularly, and submit progress reports.
The DC affirmed that the government's objective is to provide citizens with simple, transparent, and time-bound services. In this regard, the responsibility of the Revenue Department becomes even greater. He directed officials to handle matters concerning the general public with sensitivity and on a priority basis, thereby further strengthening the people's trust in the administration.
He also added that in cases where any technical or administrative hurdles arise, the matter must be immediately brought to the notice of higher officials for resolution, ensuring that no application remains pending unnecessarily.
