Army vehicle falls into gorge in Doda ten soldiers martyred condition of many of the injured critical referred to Udhampur military hospital
Bhaderwah/Jammu: Ten army soldiers were killed and many others injured when an army vehicle fell into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district. The accident took place at Khanni Top on the Bhaderwah-Chamba interstate road. Officials said that the bullet-proof army vehicle, in which a total of 17 soldiers were on board, was going towards a high post when the driver lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle fell into a 200-feet deep gorge.
Officials said that an immediate joint rescue operation was launched by the army and police. During this, four soldiers were found dead. They said that nine more soldiers were rescued in injured condition. Six more of them have died. Meanwhile, the seriously injured were sent to Udhampur military hospital for specialized treatment.
