After Jalandhar blasts in Amritsar Explosive material IED has been used for the blast DGP

Amritsar:- Just a few hours after the blast outside the BSF headquarters in Jalandhar, another blast near the army cantonment in Amritsar has created a sensation in the border area. This incident took place near the outer wall of the army cantonment on Khasa Road. Although it was a low-intensity blast, due to its impact, the tin sheet installed on the wall was damaged and fell down.
Amritsar Rural SSP Suhail Qasim Mir confirmed the incident and said that the police received a report of a loud noise on Khasa Road at around 11.15 pm. As soon as the information was received, police teams immediately reached the spot. On inspecting the spot, it was found that the tin sheet installed on the security wall of the army cantonment was damaged. Initial investigation suggests that someone threw something at the wall, which triggered the blast.
DGP Gaurav Yadav, after inspecting the blast site in Khasa today, revealed that an improvised explosive device (IED) was used for the blast. He said that the police have important clues. The police are conducting technical investigation to identify the suspects and arrest them. He said that the incident appears to be a planned attack by ISI-backed anti-national forces in Pakistan. He said that Pakistan-based elements want to make Punjab a restive state.
The DGP visited the blast site in Khasa and also held meetings with Army and BSF officials to review the security arrangements in the border area. He said that both the recent blasts in Jalandhar and Amritsar were carried out using IEDs, but no link has been established between the two incidents so far.
