Una, September 17th – The paddy procurement process in Una district will begin on October 3rd and continue until December 31st. This information was provided by Deputy Commissioner, Una, Jatin Lal. He stated that paddy will be procured at government-authorized markets, including the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee, Rampur, Takarla Grain Market, and Tahliwal.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that farmers can easily sell their paddy crop at their doorsteps. Online registration is mandatory for farmers. The online portal www.hpappp.nic.in has been opened for registration. He urged farmers who have not yet registered to do so soon to avoid any inconvenience during the procurement process.
He stated that the government has fixed the minimum support price for paddy at ?2,389 (Grade A) per quintal. Farmers will be paid for their produce directly into their bank accounts within 48 hours.
