SAS Nagar, May 10- As the government has not taken any action to improve and construct the very poor condition of the connecting road from Mohali to Chappar Cheeri Gurudwara Sahib, Fateh Minar and further to Kharar, the local Sangats, social service organizations and Panchayat representatives have started the construction of this road themselves under the leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal Mohali constituency in-charge Parwinder Singh Sohana.
Parwinder Singh Sohana said that this entire area is associated with the great history of the great Sikh commander Baba Banda Singh Ji Bahadur, where Baba Banda Singh Ji Bahadur defeated Wazir Khan and laid the foundation of Sikh Raj. Chappar Cheeri Fateh Minar is a unique example highlighting this history.
The condition of the road leading to this Minar is pathetic but the government is not paying any attention to this aspect. On this occasion, senior Akali leader Ajaypal Singh Middu Kheda, village Sarpanch Harmandeep Kaur, and social worker Simran Singh Hundal made special contribution for the repair of this road.
