
Residents of Mohali district are taking full advantage of CM's Yoga Shala - SDM Divya P
Kharar, May 12, 2025: SDM Kharar, Divya P informed that people are participating in the daily yoga sessions being organized at various places in the city under the Chief Minister's Yoga Shala in SAS Nagar district. People have made continuous yoga practice a part of their lives. Through yoga sadhana, people have started living a disease-free life by getting rid of old diseases.
Kharar, May 12, 2025: SDM Kharar, Divya P informed that people are participating in the daily yoga sessions being organized at various places in the city under the Chief Minister's Yoga Shala in SAS Nagar district. People have made continuous yoga practice a part of their lives. Through yoga sadhana, people have started living a disease-free life by getting rid of old diseases.
He said that people have felt a lot of change in their daily lives by participating in CM's Yoga Shala and continuous yoga practice. Yoga practice is proving to be a boon for people's health. Earlier, where people had to go to the hospital for their minor health problems, now people have found relief from many health problems through yoga practice. Yoga trainer Tania Sammat said that she conducts 6 yoga classes daily at different places in New Chandigarh.
She conducts her first class at Village Chahar Majra from 4.55 am to 5.55 am, second class at Gym Park Classia, Omax, Phase-3, New Chandigarh from 6.00 am to 7.00 am, third class at Mango Tree Park, Eco City-1, Sector-6, Block-A, New Chandigarh from 8.30 am to 9.30 am, fourth class at R-2F Gate No. Yoga classes are held at No. 2, Corner Park, DLF, New Chandigarh from 4.10 pm to 5.10 pm, at Sector-5, Block-A, Eco City-1, New Chandigarh from 5.15 pm to 6.15 pm and at People Park, Block-A, Eco City-1, New Chandigarh from 6.20 pm to 7.20 pm for class 6.
He informed that there are a total of 192 members in his 6 yoga shalas held daily. Trainer Tania says that yoga asanas have the magical power to restore the physical fitness of the human body by doing daily exercises for a healthy life. He appealed to the residents of the district to join these yoga sessions and get maximum health benefits.
He added, "There is no obligation or any fee to join the yoga sessions, the sessions are entirely based on the concept of educating people about a healthy lifestyle by dedicating some time to it." He said that since most of the participants belong to women and the elderly, the dropout rate between classes is also very low.
People can register for these sessions by contacting the website cmdiyogshala.punjab.gov.in as well as the helpline number 76694-00500. Any area with a minimum of 25 participants can call/send a message on the WhatsApp number to start their new class/session. No charge is made for the yoga classes.
