
District level National Youth Day celebrated under Adolescent Education
Nawanshahr- As per the orders of the Director of State Council of Educational Research and Training Punjab and Punjab State AIDS Control Society, a one day seminar on 'National Youth Day Celebration' was organized under Adolescent Education at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Nowra for the in-charges of Red Ribbon Clubs of Government Middle, High and Senior Secondary Schools of the district and the teachers appointed as nodal officers under the leadership of District Education Officer (DEO) Dimple Madan and Deputy District Education Officer (DEO) Amarjeet Khatkar.

Nodal officer of the seminar and District Science Supervisor Satnam Singh welcomed the teachers and told the students of the school to live in the present time and take the country forward. He shared some tips with the teachers to make the students aware of the changes taking place in the environment, food, lifestyle, studies, civilization etc. according to the time.
On this occasion, essay, poster making and face painting competitions were organized for the students of classes VI to XII. In essay writing competition, Gurleen SS Khothar, Unkarjit Kaur Baba Gola SS Banga and Davinder Kaur SS Karnana secured first, second and third positions respectively. In poster making competition, Rahul Lil School of Eminence Banga, Diksha SS Hediyan and Rukhshana SS Farla secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In face painting competition, Nandini Sharma and Shefali PM Shri Sas Rahon (girls), Rinki and Palak Sallan School of Eminence Banga and Pawanpreet and Anjali Bhargav secured first, second and third positions respectively. On this occasion, Navneet Kaur, Savita Sehgal, Baljinder Singh, Sukhwinder Kaur and Talwinder Singh played the role of judges. Sub-district education officer Amarjit Khatkar distributed prizes to the students. Jasvir Singh, Kamaldeep Sallan, Dr. Sukhjit Singh, Bhupinder Kumar, Baljinder Singh etc were present on this occasion.
