Kharar (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar) 07 January 2025: Under the "AAP Sarkar Aapke Dwar" campaign launched by the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a special public facility camp was organized today at the community center of village Gharuan in Kharar subdivision. On this occasion, MLA Chamkaur Sahib Dr. Charanjit Singh reached the facility camp organized to resolve the problems/difficulties of the residents of Gharuan village and listened to the problems of the people and resolved the problems of the people during the camp.
On this occasion, the MLA also interacted with the people present in the camp and also took their feedback about the camp. He said that in the camp organized under AAP Sarkar Aapke Dwar in the community center of Gharuan, teams of various departments of Punjab government and high officials reached the camp and resolved the government works of the people like Aadhar card renewal, land transfer, old age pension, widow pension, disabled pension and tehsil related works on the spot. He said that a portal has been opened to regularize kutcha houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Therefore, the needy people should reach the camp with their necessary documents and take maximum benefit of this scheme. He said that it is a great effort of the Bhagwant Mann government that the work of the people is being done by going to villages, cities and wards. He expressed happiness that people are praising this initiative of the government and are giving full response. The government is helpful in the happiness and sorrow of the people. He said that the Punjab government is committed to the welfare of every section. He also appealed to the people to take maximum benefit of such camps started by the government for the welfare of the people and complete their government works. Speaking on the occasion, SDM Kharar Gurmander Singh said that on the occasion of the beginning of the New Year, the first camp has been set up in village Gharuan of Sub-Tehsil Kharar. In this camp, all the work of the people is being settled on the spot. He said that on the instructions of the Punjab Government, three camps are set up every month in Sub-Division Kharar. He appealed to the people who came to the camp to take maximum advantage of these camps. He also told about the various public welfare schemes of the government so that all the eligible beneficiaries can take advantage of these schemes. He also said that helpline 1076 can also be contacted to get services related to various departments.
He also presented a wheelchair to Divyang person Jaswant Singh present in the village. Apart from SDM Gurmander Singh, EO Ashok Kumar, Naib Tehsildar Vivek Nirmohi and officers of other departments were present on this occasion. In these camps, services like birth certificate, income certificate, residential certificate, scheduled and backward class certificate, old age, disabled and dependent pension, name change in birth certificate, payment of electricity bills, verification of revenue department records, marriage registration, multiple copies of death certificate, rural area certificate, making of Fard, Shagun Scheme, land demarcation, counter signature on NRI certificates, counter signature on police clearance certificate, changes in death certificate etc. are being provided.
